Waitt Institute for Violence Prevention, Violence
Prevention Fund, and ML Carr's Warm2kids partner
to distribute 50,000 additional "Coaching
Boys into Men" playbooks nationwide.
Sioux City, IA - April 2006 -
The Family Violence Prevention Funda nd Warm2kids
and Ted Waitt, along with prominent sports figures
and legendar women's rights advocate Gloria Steinem,
announced the rollout of their "Coaching
Boys into Men Playbook" in June of 2005
at an event in New York City.
After forming a partnership with the National
HIgh School COaches Association, the FVPF and
Warm2kids found an overwhelming demand for the
playbooks, which assist coaches in talking to
kids about violence. Waitt Institute for Violence
Prevention was proud to help fund the distribution
of 50,000 additional playbooks, as well as sponsoring
summer camps, and on-ground training.
