Founding Fathers Campaign and Coaching
Boys into Men
For the past six years, Ted Waitt, chairman
of the Waitt Family Foundation has served as
national chairman of the Family Violence Prevention
Fund’s ‘FOUNDING FATHERS” campaign.
The Waitt Institute for Violence Prevention
is committed to involving more men and boys
to
the violence
prevention
movement through Founding Fathers, Coaching
Boys into Men, and national Ad Council campaigns.
The Waitt Institute for Violence Prevention
has formed a Siouxland Men’s Campaign
modeled after the Founding Fathers, that will
be instrumental
in carrying
out the strategies of the Sioux City Project.

The Waitt Family Foundation
has partnered with the Ad Council and Family
Violence Prevention Fund to create public
service announcements that raise awareness
of the issue and also suggest ways that we
can all help. |
- FATHER
AND SON CAMPAIGN - The objective of
the campaign is to engage men and have them
speak to boys about how women should be treated.
By influencing the attitudes and behaviors
of young boys, adults can prevent violence
towards women. Check
out the new campaign.

- COACHING
BOYS INTO MEN Q&A - All batterers
are not men. Violence that is not committed
in self-defense
is wrong regardless of the gender of the
person who commits the violence. But research
shows conclusively that, in the vast majority
of domestic violence assaults in which injuries
occur, the perpetrator is a man and the victim
is a woman. > MORE
